CONFERENCE VENUE

The conference will be held in International Conference Hall of Center for Condensed Matter Sciences and Sports Center, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan. It is in the south part of Taipei city, and is located in the main campus of National Taiwan University, which is widely considered the best and most prestigious university in Taiwan.

CALL FOR PAPERS

We are pleased to invite you to submit your full paper to Prof. Shang-Shyng Yang by E-mail (ssyang@ntu.edu.tw) before November 15, 2007.,All the submitted papers will be reviewed and published in an international journal RENEWABLE ENERGY (www.sciencedirect.com). Notifications of authors chosen for speaker presentation have been shown in the web (http://www.re2007.ntu.edu.tw). Those authors not chosen for oral presentations will be asked to provide poster presentations.

Oral presentations are scheduled to last 15 minutes including discussion, and up to 20-30 minutes will be allotted to invited speakers.

Poster presentations are being scheduled. The maximum sizes of posters are requested to be 1.1 m in height ¡Ñ 0.8 m in length. The poster boards are tack boards requiring pins to hold your poster in place and pins will be available on site. Authors will be requested to be available for 30 minutes during their appointed time.

All presentations will be in English.

PUBLICATION OF ABSTRACT BOOKLETS

All abstracts will be included in the abstract booklet which will be distributed with other conference materials to conference participants after arrival at the registration desk.

Program & schedule

SOCIAL PROGRAM

A reception will take place on Monday, October 29, 2007. 

A conference banquet will be held on Wednesday, October 31, 2007. The banquet is not included in the registration fee. Please make a reservation for the banquet on your Registration Form.

Several tours like Taipei City Tour, Taipei Night Tour, Folk Arts Tour and Taroko (Marble) Gorge Tour will also be prepared. Please select your preferences in the registration form.

REGISTRATION

The registration of the participants starts from Monday evening October 29 at the conference venue.

The registration fee includes reception, all scientific sessions, re2007 exhibition, coffee breaks, and book of abstracts (incl. CD). The registration fee for accompanying persons includes reception, re2007 exhibition, and coffee breaks at the venue. 

There will be no refunds after September 30, 2007, however the conference materials will be sent to the absentee.

BOARD

Lunches are included in the conference fee and will be served at the conference venue. Coffee, and tea together with cakes or cookies will be served during the morning and afternoon coffee breaks.

TRANSPORTS

From the Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE, formerly known as CKS International Airport) to the Conference venue (National Taiwan University, NTU) or the hotel where you will stay, you can either take taxi or bus.

1. By taxi

Take taxi outside the Arrival Halls of both terminals (NT$ 1,400-1,700, from Airport to Taipei City, note that taxi from airport adds 50% to meter, in this case it would be better to print out your destination address in Chinese).

You may also contact with the hotel where you will stay to ask for pickup service in advance, the fees are NT$1,470, $1,600, $1,600, and $1,470 for The Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei, Taipei Fullerton Hotel, Leader Hotel-Taipei, and Howard International House, respectively. The journey time is about 50-60 minutes in moderate traffic. 

2. By bus

Take a bus from TPE to downtown Taipei (about NT$ 150), and then transfer by taxi or by Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC) to NTU or the hotel where you stay (generally less than NT$100 or 25, respectively). The journey time is about 1.5-2 hours in moderate traffic.

(1) At least two bus companies now provide frequent service between Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) and important destinations in downtown Taipei. They are Taiwan (Kuokuang) Bus Corp and Toward You Air Bus.

(2) Where to buy bus tickets:
Ticket counters are located in the Arrival Passenger Reception Areas of both Terminals.

a. Terminal I Bus Platform: On the southwest side of the Passenger Arrival Area (when you enter the arrival lobby after customs, the bus ticket counters are on your left hand side.).

b. Terminal II Bus Platform: On the northeast side of the Passenger Arrival Area on the first floor of the terminal.

(3) Taiwan (Kuokuang) Bus Corp

Route: Taiwan Bus Corp. (Kuokuang Line), from Taoyuan Airport to Taipei Main Railway Station.

Stops: Chiuchuan St., Taipei Bridge, Taipei Main Railway Station.

Fare (NT$): Adult NT$125, Child NT$65.

Taiwan Taoyuan Airport: 05:40-24:50, Taipei Main Railway Station: 05:00-23:30.

Journey Time: 50 minutes.

(4) Toward You Air Bus

Route: Toward You Air Bus, from Taoyuan Airport to Hyatt Hotel.

Stops: Miramar Hotel, MRT Nanking Station (Brother Hotel), MRT Chungsiao- Fuhsing Station, Howard Plaza, Far Eastern Plaza, Hyatt Hotel.

Fare (NT$): Adult NT$145, Child NT$70.

Taiwan Taoyuan Airport: 06:00-01:10, Hyatt Hotel: 04:40-23:00.

Journey Time: 60~70 minutes.
